🌸🐝 Time to start your garden preparations for 2025! Do your bit for our pollinators🦋🐝🌺

Commonwealth War Graves partnership!

Seeds4Bees are proud to be supporting The Commonwealth War Graves Commission by donating 50p from the sale of each of our Bee in our Thoughts poppy and cornflower seed packs!

Poppies of course are a highly recognisable symbol of peace and remembrance and Cornflowers are France’s remembrance flower, also known as ‘Bleuet de France’.

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission honour the men and women of the commonwealth forces who died in the first and second world wars, ensuring they’re never forgotten.

The Commonwealth War Graves Commission is one of the world's leading horticultural organisations! Their carefully maintained sites feature a wide range of flowers attracting lots of different bees and other pollinators! 🐝🌺🌼

Not forgetting, of course, the British Legion who has been supporting Service men and women, ex-service personnel and their families since 1921!
The British Legion was founded on 15 May 1921, amalgamating four national organisations that had established themselves after The First World War -

🌺 The National Association of Discharged Sailors and Soliders
🌺 The British National Federation of Dishcharged and Demobilised Sailors and Soliders
🌺 The Commrades of The Great War
🌺 The Officers’ Association

The first ever poppy appeal was held in 1921 and sold out, raising £106,000 - a large amount of money in those days! This money was used to help WW1 veterans with employment and housing.
A very worthwhile cause 🌺🌺🌺
