Wildflower of the week! - Cosmos

Cosmos 'sensation mixed' is a tall plant producing masses of daisy like flowers with delicate fern like leaves - from summer through to autumn.🌺🌸

With strong stems and long lasting flowers it's excellent for cutting. To maximise the flowering period it's advisable to remove dead flowers to encourage new ones!

The flowers come in white, shades of pink and deep red.

They're loved by bees and other pollinators and look really impressive swaying in a gentle summer breeze!☀️🐝🐞
